Bernhard Steiner, Managing Partner
Born 1964, is the managing partner of Alternative Investment Partner AG. Before starting his business with AIP he acted as managing director of a commodity trading advisor for four years. Bernhard looks back on more then 20 years of experience as business consultant, 10 of them in the financial industry. He originally studied law with subsidiary information technology.

Michael Kalenberg
Born 1960, is engaged with AIP AG since January 2010. Michael has more than 30 years professional experience in the financial sector in Switzerland, Germany and Spain. His last position before acting for AIP AG was as CEO of Swiss Pioneer Investments Zurich/ Geneva / Berne. Educated as a stock exchange broker he worked many years in the derivatives and commodity trading sector. From 1990 on he was responsible for private client business of Bayerische Vereinsbank. In 1995 he joined the Swiss private Bank von Ernst & Cie. in Berne, where he headed the marketing department and build up the fund business. Between 1999 and 2003 he was CIO and deputy CEO of Bank von Ernst & Cie. in Madrid. In 2009 Michael founded his own consultancy business concentrating on financial controlling services for private clients and the marketing advising for small and mid sized portfolio managers.
